Hotel loyalty upgrades: what your tier may include
Loyalty status can include an upgrade, late checkout or another stay benefit, but the exact programme wording matters. A tier name alone is not enough.
Check four things
- Programme and tier: use the full current name.
- Hotel participation: a brand or property may be excluded or participate differently.
- Booking eligibility: rate and channel conditions can affect benefits.
- Benefit conditions: availability, room categories, times and guest limits may apply.
Entitlement and request are different
If a published benefit applies, ask the hotel to confirm it for the booking. If it does not apply or is conditional, you can still make a discretionary request. Do not present a possible benefit as confirmed.
Programme-aware example
I’m a [Programme] [Tier] member and understand that [benefit] may be available under the programme conditions. Could you confirm whether this hotel and booking are eligible?

Current programme covers participating hotels in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific; Americas hotels require a Choice Privileges check.
World of Hyatt
Eligible rates, participating properties and category exclusions apply.
Wyndham Rewards
Qualified stays and participating hotels; benefits differ by member level.
