What we collect
When you use StayHustler, we collect only what is needed to generate your personalized upgrade request:
- Booking details — hotel name, dates, room type, and preferences you enter into the form. These are used solely to personalize your request.
- Email address — if you subscribe to the weekly newsletter or need results delivered.
- Anonymous page views — basic analytics to understand how people use the site (pages visited, referral source). No personally identifiable information is tied to these views.
What we do not store
- Payment information — all payments are processed by Stripe. We never see, handle, or store your card number or billing details.
- Hotel credentials — we do not access your hotel account, loyalty program, or reservation system. We never contact hotels on your behalf.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of third-party services to operate:
- Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- SendGrid — email delivery for the newsletter and result emails.
- Google Analytics — anonymous site usage data (page views, traffic sources).
- Crazy Egg — anonymous heatmap and scroll tracking to improve the site experience.
Cookies
We use a minimal number of cookies:
- JWT token — a short-lived session token stored in your browser so you can access your generated results.
- Google Analytics cookies — standard GA cookies (_ga, _gid) for anonymous usage tracking. You can opt out via your browser settings or a GA opt-out extension.
We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to ad networks.
Data retention
- Booking data — not stored long-term. Your booking details are used to generate your request and are not retained after delivery.
- Newsletter subscription — your email is stored until you unsubscribe. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
